This amazing injectable gel is the “next-generation” of dermal filler in Oklahoma City. Juvederm’s smooth consistency helps to restore your skin’s volume and smooth away wrinkles on the face such as laugh lines or creases in the corners of the mouth and can also enhance the appearance of lips. Results generally last about one year, sometimes longer. This procedure is often used in combination with other fillers, Botox or Dysport, skin care, and laser skin resurfacing in Oklahoma City.
Your results can be subtle or dramatic, as you can see from the examples below!
Common Questions about Juvederm
1. Where do you typically use this filler?
We generally use Juvederm anywhere around the mouth, including smile lines and for lip augmentation. This filler is not good for large volume areas such as the cheeks or temples, because it would take many syringes to get any change and would not be cost effective.
2. Does it hurt?
Our injectors do a great deal to make sure the patient is as comfortable as possible. We can use topical numbing agents, lidocaine, and ice to help ease any pain you might experience. Most patients report feeling very comfortable during the process. It will be different for everyone, of course.
3. What are common side effects of the injection?
There are many unwanted effects that could always happen with an injection, but our more common occurrences are swelling and bruising in the area. Some patients may not get either of these and you can help avoid bruising by not using any aspirin containing products at least 2 weeks prior to your treatment. This includes all NSAIDS, Aleve, Advil, Ibuprofen, Excedrin, etc. Definitely notify us if you are currently on a blood thinning medication, such as Heparin or Coumadin. You can reduce swelling by using the ice we provide on and off for that day and the next day, if needed.
4. How many syringes should I purchase?
We always offer free consultations to take a look at you and give you an estimate. Juvederm comes in full and half syringes, so we can be more flexible with our treatment plan. Whenever in doubt, we can start with a conservative amount and add more if you desire later on. Everybody likes a different look and we try our best to cater to your needs, staying safe and tasteful.
5. Can you do Juvederm and Botox on the same day?
Absolutely! Many times, we will inject Botox or Dysport while we are waiting for your topical to take effect. It is perfectly safe.

The consultation was one of the warmest most reassuring experiences ever and I imagine it’s that way for most people, something that’s bothered you for a while and you go in there and you are just nervous. He just totally put me at ease. I remember I was surprised how much time he spent talking about what were my issues. I never wanted to look different. As you get older you notice some things. I wanted to look like me but a little bit younger. I wanted to turn that back a bit.
